Thoughts on diverging from the norm with Praxis
I’m excited about Praxis because as of how direct and to-the-point this program is in helping me kickstart my career. The fact that every project is intentionally designed to move me closer to my career goals set Praxis apart from college which to me seemed to have a lot of unnecessary work required with the same end goal in mind. I love the accountability that this program offers and how every participant seems to be motivated to a degree that will up my own motivation. Most of all I’m excited to network with all the amazing participants in Praxis and talk and have insightful conversations about the shared interest in growing our careers and bettering ourselves every single day.
I’ve certainly had thoughts about whether this is the right path because there are so many other passions that I'm pursuing at the moment on top of Praxis. What I've learned is that when we debate about choices for too long there becomes no option that is the best option. I like Gary V’s approach to this problem, make a decision and don’t look back. You can’t ever predict where you’d be if you went down a different so why bother with having self-doubt.
Every day I’m becoming more excited about Praxis and the amazing opportunities that it involves. I’m starting to realize just how much value there is within this program and the community that it fosters. I don’t think I will find people with this much drive to self-start their own careers anywhere else in the world. Therefore, although the journey ahead seems daunting at times it’s a path I'm insanely excited about and looking forward to.
